this is us

Ryan Eidick, MCP

Director

Ryan founded Eins in 2019 following over 10 years working as a Planner in both public and private sectors of the land development industry. His interests lie in complex problem solving, which is what initially drew him to Planning after a degree in Landscape Architecture.

Ryan is a Faculty Lecturer in the School of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Alberta, and is an honorary Board Member with the Old Strathcona Business Association, focused on supporting and advocating for small businesses in the Old Strathcona area.

Ryan plays sports year-round, including golf, snowboarding and basketball.

Kaitlyn Vandenbilche, MPlan

Junior Planner

Kaitlyn joined Eins in 2025 after spending the first portion of her career as a Planner in the Public Sector with the City of Medicine Hat.
After having studied Architecture while living in Toronto, she found a passion for Planning, and now brings that strong background in design to the team. She’s also been a supporter of downtown revitalization, having started a collective focused on marketing unique and affordable businesses in downtown Calgary to the broader public.

Kaitlyn loves being outside, including hiking, biking and exploring cities, but is also an avid crafter, baker and reader in her free time.

There are others that helped get us to where we are, and we want to continue acknowledging them even if they aren’t listed above as a thank you for all your contributions.

Jake Papineau, MPlan: Formerly known as “The Research Department”, Jake grew into a very important member of EINS and was an integral part of our growth in the early years. Now works for Urban Matters.

Judith Musasa, BSc. (HON): A CAD wizard with a great eye for landscape design, Judith’s skills helped EINS branch out and grow our service offerings. Now works at the City of Edmonton.

Josh Abele, BA: Our very first intern, Josh came to us through a co-op program at the University of Alberta and stayed for a full year. Always eager to participate, learn and collaborate, he was an expert at making connections and communicating with clients, partners and municipalities. Now works at Parkland County.

Andrew Olsen, BA:
With a calm and professional personality, Andrew became the main point of contact for all EINS’ projects with municipalities around the region. A strong policy writer helped EINS transition into statutory plan (ASP, OP) preparations. Now works at the City of Edmonton.
