E-scooters have launched in Canada, with Bird and Lime releasing their e-scooters in Edmonton and Calgary a few weeks ago. These are a great addition to local transit systems, and help promote other modes of transit as well.

Way to go Edmonton! It’s great to see Edmonton and Calgary have been able to allow e-scooters without facing some of the barriers/regulatory issues that other Canadian cities are dealing with. I’m looking forward to seeing how their usage rates go and if we start to see some changes in travel patterns in Edmonton 🙂

I read today that Toronto is undergoing public consultation prior to e-scooters being released, with mixed feedback so far….what’s it like in Guelph?
